Wulfrun Single Sole Gold Leather Creepers Review

Having them under my possession for almost a year now, I thought it was finally time I did a review on the loudest, craziest, and loveliest pairs of shoes I own. About a year ago (maybe even two) Topshop was selling some pewter and rose gold underground creepers which I fell absolutely in love with! Yet they were 200 bucks and making absolutely no money of my own at the time, they were far out of my price range. So I waited, and waited, and waited and finally they went on sale and for a darn good price I must say! But of course I let the days go by and when I finally went to buy them, they were sold out.

A few months later though I came across some gold metallic creepers and knew I had to have them. Long story short, I was smart enough to put them in my basket ASAP and a year later I am still in love.

Now on to the actual review...

1. Size

Creepers tend to be unisex shoes which means they do fit a bit more loose than typical girl shoes would, yet if you buy your usual size you should be fine, tightening up the laces a tad bit more will definitely fix the problem!
For reference I am a woman's US 8 and ordered these in a UK size 6.

2. Color

The color is a true gold so there is nothing "subtle" about them. I do have to say though that mine started chipping pretty quickly. After a few times of wearing them a little piece of the gold had already fallen off, yet aside from that one piece, the gold has stayed on pretty well. I guess it's all a matter of taking good care of them, who knows I probably just scraped my shoe against something and never noticed.

3. Comfort

With a 1 1/2" sole these are on the heavier side yet I wouldn't say they're heavy to the point of discomfort. As for walking in them for long periods of time, I'd say it's doable. They do take a few wears to "soften" up but even before breaking them in I wouldn't say they're all that uncomfortable.

4. Style

The exact name of these like mentioned in the title is "Wulfrun Single Sole Leather Creepers" which if you don't know, is the lowest sole they come in. That being said the single sole measures to a 1 1/2" heel and 1" platform. For reference, the double sole creepers measure out to a 2" heel and 1 1/2" platform. Unlike most colors though, the gold creepers are only available in single sole.

5. Pricing

As I briefly mentioned above these are on the pricier side yet I do think they are worth it! They retail for £95.00 which comes out to 159.20 USD plus $32.59 (£19.45) for international shipping. In the end they came up to 191.79 USD and I was not charged any extra fees/customs. With that being said I'm not sure if US customers are never charged customs or if I was just lucky.

6. Underground Customer Service

Living in the US and never having purchased anything over seas it made me quite nervous to lash out a hundred plus bucks on these shoes but I have to say there is nothing to worry about! Underground's customer service is like one I've never seen before! The first pair of creepers I was sent had a  smudge on the back of the heel which as hard as I tried I could not get off.
I emailed customer service though, let them know the issue, they asked for pictures to see what the problem was and before I knew it a new pair was being shipped out.
Due to the inconvenience (their words not mine) I was able to keep both pairs. Now if that isn't good customer service I don't know what is.

P.S. The pictures in which the shoes look more washed out is due to the natural light that was shining on them. I thought seeing the lights effect on them could be helpful.

With Love,

Noemy Serrano
